Course title: Communication Principles Lab EE311L
Course Hours Load: 18h00 ( 1h30/week)
Course Credits: 2
Course Coefficient: 1
Assessment method: Continuous
Target students: License 3 students
Course Prerequisites:
- MATLAB software
- GDS oscilloscope
- AFG function generator
- NI Multisim software
Course objectives:
At the end of these labs, students will be capable of:
- Using both software and hardware equipments to simulate, generate and measure signals in both time and frequency domains and perform FFT calculations,
- Also they will display the AM and FM spectrum.
- They will be able to write different programs in MATLAB and display them in both time and frequency domains by computing the Fast Fourier transform (FFT).
- Furthermore, they will design and simulate simple and complex electrical circuits using highly efficient software which is multisim.
- Students will get the chance to work with two modern equipments that are available in the lab: The GW-Instek GDS1042 digital storage oscilloscope and the AFG-2125 Arbitrary Function Generator
- Finally, to generate different types of signals, and perform multiple types of modulation such as AM, FM, FSK...
