Course Hours Load: 18h00 ( 1h30/week)

Course Credits: 2

 Course Coefficient: 1

Assessment method: Continuous

Target students: License 3 students

Course Prerequisites:
  1. MATLAB software
  2. GDS oscilloscope
  3. AFG function generator
  4. NI Multisim software
Course objectives:

At the end of these labs, students will be capable of:

  1.  Using both software and hardware equipments to simulate, generate and measure signals in both time and frequency domains and perform FFT calculations,
  2. Also they will display the AM and FM spectrum.
  3.  They will be able to write different programs in MATLAB and display them in both time and frequency domains by computing the Fast Fourier transform (FFT).
  4.  Furthermore, they will design and simulate simple and complex electrical circuits using highly efficient software which is multisim.
  5.  Students will get the chance to work with two modern equipments that are available in the lab: The GW-Instek GDS1042 digital storage oscilloscope and the AFG-2125 Arbitrary Function Generator
  6. Finally, to generate different types of signals, and perform multiple types of modulation such as AM, FM, FSK...
